“STANDARD’s” really did set its standards….

The main source of survival hunt begins from day 3 , our so called living - good “FOOD” . we decide to hunt down good cafes in chamba ,  the first item on our hunt that caught our taste buds were momos and burgers sold at small stalls in the corners of the district . They were not as commercial as we wanted them to be but in between the struggle of sourcing good food they were listed as the best items to nom nom upon for a while. Then we walked independently through the roads of chamba and we found a family restraint called “ crystal” where it finally felt that we are back home , the yummy veg biriyani with boondi ka raita , masala channa , garlic naan and a satisfying sauf served at the end of the meal helping us walk our ways back to the hotel with our tummies loaded with home style food ….. Our craves didn’t just stop here our taste buds seeked for more and more …. soon more places caught our hearts  “STANDARD BAKERY” it was .. passing few weeks with localized food our eyes were looking for some commercial Delhi food and one day while wandering through lanes we find a bakery that served luscious Oreo nuttella shakes , cold coffee , cheese dripping pizzas and jaw dropping desserts …. We all looked each other in the eyes and giggled cause we knew we had found our hub … the menu was vast and full of our favorite items like nuggets pastas , garlic bread and moreeee… we have  spent our most precious memories of eating yummy food at Standard bakery ….

Sky full of stars

The swing's suspension chains were permanently mounted to the porch ceiling; and the seat was large enough to occupy upto three people, with an armrest at each end with a rod on top, on which you could rest your foot. It was the most comfortable seat. It soon turned to be a medium to relax and calm our minds, we made it our space to unfold after the end of each day. The twinkling lights from the mountains afar and the stars aligned in such a way that they camouflaged and appeared to be a galactic view right under our feet, oh so beautiful! Did you hear the sound of snow crunching under your feet

  I had probably never seen a vast expanse of snow till that moment I actually landed at probably the highest point in Chamba named Snow Point. As I looked around, the unending white stretches, vaguely visible hills and the footprints on the ice appeared in front of me.   I was at a loss for words while standing on that frozen surface. I can’t seem to remember the time when started getting fascinated to the idea of travelling. All I remember are those days when after school I used to be glued to our television set to watch places and dreamt of visiting them one fine day. Time has slipped through my fingers in these years. But my curiosity to discover the world around me has only grown. The urge of going to different places, experiencing something new is what made me pick craft as an option of study this semester.
