Sky full of stars

Image
Cause you're a sky, you're a sky full of stars Such a heavenly view You're such a heavenly view A hanging seat outside our room oscillated like a pendulum. The swing's suspension chains were permanently mounted to the porch ceiling; and the seat was large enough to occupy upto three people, with an armrest at each end with a rod on top, on which you could rest your foot. It was the most comfortable seat. It soon turned to be a medium to relax and calm our minds, we made it our space to unfold after the end of each day. The twinkling lights from the mountains afar and the stars aligned in such a way that they camouflaged and appeared to be a galactic view right under our feet, oh so beautiful! The cars on the distant mountains with their headlights on seemed like shooting stars from our sight. It took me back to my childhood days when I aspired nothing but to be able to touch the stars so with every stroke of the swing going upwards, the kid inside me was back a...

A holi to remember

Image
Holi was just a regular festival of colors for all of us spent with our families and neighbors with joy and love. But this time our experience changed the meaning of it within the dictionaries of our heart. A day before holi struggling for a place to make this beautiful festival happen we ended up making a crazy plan buying 30 kg of dry color (gulal)  and cheap clothes from the flea market of chamba. carrying these bags full of goodies to our hotel , we also submerged our adventurous excitements within those sacks and kept it aside. Kicking with exciting ways to play holi we finally landed upon an outrageous destination to play this festival “KHAJIAR “ where the ground was covered with ice and surrounded by chilly breezes, but we knew we were about to make some warm memories to be carried with us forever ..” it was definitely a holi to remember” . the day of festival arrived and it killed us with its joy , shivering  with cut sleeve clothes in a temp of 5deg yet we cont...

River Point

The Ravi river forms the biggest sub-micro region of Chamba district. From Bara Bangal of Kangra district, it flows through Bara Bansu, Tretha, Chanota and Ulhansa. The Ravi river merges with the Chenab in Pakistan. The well-known human settlement along the river are Barmaur, Madhopur and Chamba town. Its total length is 720 kmRiver flowing, the wind was blowing and the sun was glowing The water was said to be so clean and pure that according to the people there if you splash it on your skin all skin diseases would get cured. So we tried it out and dipped our feet and felt very refreshed after that. The most attracting sight of the river point were the giant rocks that ran along the river. We sat on the rock and enjoyed the view and cold water beneath it.
